A Ride to Sikkim and Bhutan 2200KM - Part 11

The next morning we wake up packup and leave chungthang for good the route to be taken is as below. Due to some issue with google maps the direct route from Nagarkata to Birpara wont get selected, we had taken that route. It was a good peaceful ride on long stretches of straight roads mostly surrounded by Tea plantations on both side.

The route taken Chungthang => Mangan => Singtam => Sevoke => Bagarkote => Oodlabari => Nagrakata => Banahata => Birpara => Madarihat => Hasimara => Jaigaon

Some where after Sevoke the twisty make way to straight on NH31 form here onwards its straight cruising on flat terrain with farms or Tea estates on both sides.

The dust has turned Vishals face a lot darker. The tea was a welcome. The tea was special as it was made on a stove which used coal as fuel that was a first for all of us.

On a butt break Raman strikes up a conversation with a local plantation worker. The guy works on meager wages and dreams one day of buying a motorbike considering his wages seems highly impossible still best wishes to him.

Tea plantations en route. As such on this route there isn't much of significant photographic importance to catch just for the sake of memories I have been clicking pictures.

The sun was setting in the background now there wasn't enough light for photography we kept driving into the darkness till we reached Jaigaon. We got a hotel room for us, tomorrow we would be going for the visa and bike permits needed for Bhutan.
