Rx ride to Murud - Mumbai 2 stroke onwer's club

17 March 2013
One of our RX meets this time we had planned to hit Murud. The route to be followed was as below.

As always we meet at Panvel McDonalds. Wait for all to gather. Have some breakfast and then set of  for the ride. Though this was a 2 Stroke owners ride we had only three 2 stroke bikes. A surprise entry was th RZ 250 bought in by Jason. He had ridden all the way from Pune after buying the bike and was directly joining us without any break. The RZ was a beauty.

The YAMAHA RZ 250 above looks immaculate well maintained by its previous owner.

Some of us can be seen here in the above pic.

En route on a river crossing.

Finally reached Murud Beach did not add the pics taken en-route as they would not be of any interest for general viewing.

Relaxing by the beach.

Tasty Malwani style fish thali at Murud beach.

Some pics of the Murud beach.

It was afternoon and very sunny also there was no shelter on Murud beach. En-route we had seen shacks on Kashid beach which is a little behind from Murud if you refer the map. We head there and rested in the shacks until it got cooler. After having refreshments we set back on the return journey.

On the return journey we boarded a ferry from Revas Dhakka. The ferry drops you in Mumbai somewhere near Bhaucha dhakka. The journey takes 45 mins. Also to be noted is that the ferry only transports people and 2 wheelers theirs no provision for cars. Also there are no fixed ramps for vehicles and the loading and unloading is done by men using temporary ramps who lift the vehicles and get them out on the port.

Before departing we had some refreshments and then each of us headed home.
