A Ride to Sikkim and Bhutan 2200KM - Part 8 - On way to Gurudongmar

Today we are on our way to Lachen where we will have a overnight stay and head for Gurudongmar Lake the next morning. The route we take is Gangtok => Mangan => Chungthang => Lachen. It is said that Gurudongmar is best done before noon after which the climate becomes really erratic. So we had decided t spent the night at Lachen and head for Gurudongmar the next day. Taking into account the roads we set off early and hoped to not waste too much time and reach Lachen before darkness sets in. It has been said that after Mangan there is no petrol pump we make our tanks full and head on.

Try finding Raman in this pic :)

Below we can see the Seven sisters waterfall. There is a nice cafeteria besides it which serves momos, sandwiches , Maggi etc. We had our fill and took some pics and then moved on. As we left hordes of tourist crept in.

To get this pic i got down into the bushes in the below pic just besides the stone marker and a leech got me. I never came to know until the end of the day when i found my white socks with red blood and the dead leech fell off while removing the socks.

To be Continued...
